Mission: The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is the public health agency in the U.S. Department of Agriculture responsible for ensuring that the nation's commercial supply of meat, poultry, and egg products is safe, wholesome, and correctly labeled and packaged, as required by the Federal Meat Inspection Act, the Poultry Products Inspection Act, and the Egg Products Inspection Act.

- FSC - International Food Safety Council. The International Food Safety Council is a coalition of restaurant and food service professionals who are certified in safe food handling and preparation. - International HACCP Alliance. The International HACCP Alliance was developed on March 25, 1994. It is housed within the Institute of Food Science and Engineering's (IFSE) Center for Food Safety. The International HACCP Alliance was developed to provide a uniform program to assure safer meat and poultry products.
